This paper analyzed the characteristics of forestry sci-technology management and requirements of system function，put forward that management system development must insist on the principle of advance, expansibility, maintainability, practicality , security and openable. Using advanced network platforms and data storage technology，develops the forestry sci-technology management information system of Guangdong Province, thus realizes standardization and networking on forestry sci-technology management about projects, achievements, organization, personnel of sci-technology, and so on. It meets function requirements on information long-distance input, inquiry, statistics, upload by internet. As system perfect and comprehensive application, it will enhance the Guangdong forestry sci-technology management potency and collective services ability enormously.
